After a packed few months, June 2026 offers a slightly calmer release calendar, but there is still a strong mix of new games and early-access launches across plenty of genres. The early part of the month is also stacked with big industry events, including Summer Game Fest, PlayStation's State of Play, and the Xbox Games Showcase. Here is the full rundown of the month's notable releases.
EARLY JUNE
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (June 3, Switch 2): The massive middle chapter of the Remake trilogy comes to Switch 2 following last year's well-received Remake port. It expands the world and lets players freely explore on the way to a fateful encounter at the Temple of the Ancients.
The 7th Guest Remake (June 4, PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S): The classic CD-ROM era horror puzzler, previously rebuilt only for VR, finally reaches flat screens. Return to toymaker Henry Stauf's haunted mansion for FMV storytelling and puzzle-solving.
Calx (June 4, PC): An atmospheric, cel-shaded exploration game set on the planet Syro. Movement is the core tool, but it also rewards stillness and observation, in the vein of games like Sable.
Gothic 1 Remake (June 5, PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One): A full remake of the 25-year-old cult RPG, with revamped combat, expanded questlines, and modern touches while keeping its distinctive exploration and progression.
